Adtran NetVanta 3458
The ADTRAN NetVanta 3458 router and switch combines a lot of utility into a single compact package. While designed primarily to facilitate WAN expansions with voice/data convergence, its range of features and easy modability allows it to serve in multiple deployments as your business needs change over the years.
It combines two interface slots -supporting up to four T1s- with an eight-port Fast Ethernet switch, stateful inspection firewall, and onboard Wireless Access Point controller. It could serve equally well for local-layer access, WAN network extensions, or as a top-rack device. Depending on slot configuration, it could also provide backup broadband support, or even an emergency dialup interface.
All this is tied together with ADTRAN's industry-leading software package and RapidRoute optimization technologies.
