The AP-274 features operating temperatures from -40° C to +65° C (-40° F to +150°F), IP66 or IP67 chassis ratings, and wind survivability up to 165mph. Whether you need a short-term easily-deployed AP for special outdoor events, or a permanent outdoor fixture that could survive a hurricane, the AP-270 has you covered. There are three model types of AP-270, all featuring dual-radio 2.4ghz and 5ghz broadcasts, with 3x3 MIMO compatibility, with maximum theoretical speeds of 1.3gbps. The models vary depending on the type of antenna:
- AP-274: Three external antenna connectors (antennas sold separately)
- AP-275: Three internal omni-directional antennas
- AP-277: Three internal 80º H x 80º V beamwidth directional antennas
Additionally, you can choose between controlled units which are configure via the robust ArubaOS GUI, which links all your Aruba hardware, or Instant Access Point controller-less models. The IAP models feature mesh networking, and are perfect for temporary deployments. You configure one unit over-the-air, then it broadcasts the configuration to all other units. An entire outdoor event WiFi could be configured in roughly five minutes with an IAP-270 model.
All models feature smart adaptive broadcast technology, allowing them to shape their radio spectrum usage based on the local radio environment - a must when providing WiFi to a crowd using cellphones. Proprietary ClientMatch technology simplifies roaming, allowing guests and visitors to move freely between AP-270 units without loss of speed or coverage.
