The 1852 APs can be operated in either single user mode, with four spacial streams, or in multi-user mode with three spacial streams, depending on your office's needs.  In either case, the 1852 series features a total maximum possible bandwidth rate of 2Gbps, while still allowing for hundreds of simultaneously connected users.

Setup and deployment of the 1852 series is simple, thanks to Cisco Mobility Express support.  This software controller eliminates the need for a separate hardware controller, while streamlining installation and setup.  Deployment of each 1852 should only take a few minutes.  Built-in security and authentication systems keep each unit secure, with minimal additional configuration on the user's side.

There are two options in the Cisco Aironet 1850 series:

  • Aironet 1852i:  The 1852i is the standard indoor model, featuring four internal antennas plus the Bluetooth beacon, creating a standard "bubble" of WiFi access centered on the device.
  • Aironet 1852e:  The 1852e includes four external antenna ports (antennas sold separately) allowing you to precisely shape the direction and coverage of your WiFi access.

Cisco Airnet 1850 APs can be highly successful in a wide variety of usage scenarios, including typical office use as well as providing superior high-speed and reliable access to customers and guests.  Great Cisco build quality and long hardware lifespans add to the value.
