Hummingbird Networks is pleased to offer a free technical brief, Planning and Depolyment
Guide for Wi-Fi Networks.
The guide is designed to help Wi-Fi network planners design their wireless network confirguation based on the latest Bluesocket vWLAN technology from Adtran.
Virtual wireless LAN solutions, such as vWLAN use a cloud based virtual controller to eliminate hardware costs and provide scalability by adding additional Wireless Access Points.
The Planning and Depolyment Guide for Wi-Fi Networks provides an introduction to assist WiFi planners in the creation of their wireless networks using vWLAN.
The vWLAN solution provides companies in education, healthcare, hospitality, government and retail a wireless platform scalable to future technologies. A management console provides location and head maps, health summary, enhanced reporting, notifications, and summary of the overall RF environment.
User roles are managed by the central control software but are enforced by the AP. The roles contain multiple attributes including service policies, VLAN/subnet assignment, bandwidth, and QoS. A single SSID can be used to support multiple roles.
The vWLAN platform provides scalability without building out additional infrastructure. It's distributed architechture enables over a 10x increase in the total traffic.
