The Meraki MT12 water leak sensor, part of the MT family of sensors, provides real time visibility into your physical environment. Simple to deploy, the MT12 automatically pairs with Wi-Fi 6 MR access points and 2nd Generation MV smart cameras via BLE for rapid provisioning and seamless scalability. Reliable and secure cloud-management via the Meraki dashboard further reduces infrastructure by eliminating on-premises servers. Flexible alert management give you real-time visibility into business critical environments and can help reduce loss, prevent premature equipment failure, and minimize network outages.
What’s In The Box
The standard MT12-HW package includes the sensor and mounting hardware only:
- MT12-HW Sensor: The main cloud-managed unit.
- Batteries: Two (2) AA batteries.
- Mounting Kit:
- Wall-mount backplate.
- Mounting magnet.
- 3M VHB double-sided tape.
- Two mounting screws and drywall anchors.
- Cable Management: Eight (8) cable clips (to secure the detection cable once purchased).
What Is NOT Included (Sold Separately)
Please note that the MT12-HW sensor unit requires specific accessories and licensing to be fully functional, which are not included in the standard box and must be purchased separately. To detect water, you must pair the sensor with either the Water Leak Detection Cable (MA-CBL-LEAK-1), an 8-foot cable designed for wide-area coverage that can be daisy-chained for up to 16 feet of protection, or the Spot Leak Detection Cradle (MA-CBL-LEAK-2), which is ideal for targeted monitoring directly under pipes or valves. Additionally, a Meraki Cloud License (LIC-MT-XY), available in various year terms, is mandatory for device management and dashboard connectivity.
