These cables are recommended for patching between data center MDFs and IDFs. They are also optimized for QSFP+ 40GBASE-SR4 and QSFP28 100GBASE-SR4 networks.
The 8-fiber female connectors on the N858-38M-MX8MG are 12 times denser than SC connectors. The OM4-rated cable has a aqua jacket, which is easy to identify quickly in a crowded patch panel or switch and helps prevent the cable from becoming accidentally disconnected. The low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket limits the amount of toxic smoke emitted in case of combustion, making it suitable for poorly ventilated areas. It is also 100% tested for low insertion loss and back reflection.
