The NETGEAR ProSAFE M4300-12X12F 10 Gigabit switch could be an excellent choice for a wide range of SMBs in need of either top-rack, core, or stack-based switching, with plenty of bandwidth available for both wired and wireless downstream networks.

It includes both twelve 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as twelve 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports, all independently configurable. The 10G ports are also fully stacking-enabled, allowing a large variety of stacking configurations, including both ring and spine-and-leaf topographies. A virtual chassis architecture further allows for large-scale virtual stacking for bandwidth consolidation.

Redundancy is a top priority for this 12 port switch. The 10 Gigabit units are in 1RU high, but half-width cases, which allow two to be paired side-by-side. The line also features fully hitless failover, allowing continuity of service even with disastrous equipment failure. The power supplies are also modular and hot-swappable.

It further makes administration easy, with choices of either GUI or CLI-based interfaces, and a range of equipment discovery services for easy setup of downstream appliances.
