Meraki MR30HAn ideal solution for hotels, motels, classrooms, dormitories and other hospitality-style applications, the Meraki MR30H is an affordable 802.11ac Wave 2 access point designed specifically for larger-scale room-by-room deployments with a constantly-rotating set of users.

The MR30H features a two-radio 2x2 MU:MIMO internal antenna arrangement, utilizing both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.  It supports theoretical maximum speeds up to 1.3Gbps.  A third radio provides low-power Bluetooth Beacon connectivity, as well as monitoring the local radio environment.  Uplink comes via a Gigabit Ethernet port., which also supports 802.3af PoE power input.  The MR30H is fully backwards-compatible with 802.1a/b/g/n.  Along with the WiFi connectivity, the Meraki MR30H also includes a full-featured four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch for direct wired connections.

This all enables guests and visitors to have a wide range of options when connecting to the hardware depending on their setup.  

Custom splash pages allow you to control the home page displayed when a user first connects, and potentially enable login-based usage or display advertisements.  A full suite of CMX location analytics allow admins to track usage, as well as measuring visitor trends over time.

For security, the MR30H includes a built-in Layer 3-7 stateful inspection firewall, as well as an automatically-updated virus scanner.  

Like all Meraki models, the MR30H is exceptionally easy to install, setup, and oversee.  All configuration and management is handled through the Meraki Dashboard, which gives complete oversight over an entire Meraki network, regardless of size or geographic distribution.  Once initial setup of the first device is completed, all subsequent device installations are a plug-and-play procedure.  This greatly reduces rollout times in large deployments.
